The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization.
IAESTE India a is a full member of the IAESTE network which encompasses more than 80 countries worldwide. In India, the National Committee of IAESTE India is a completely student organization that serves 5,000 students each year and has over 50 partnerships with corporate employers.
It provides students pursuing technical and architecture majors with paid, course-related training abroad. Since its founding in 1948, it has grown to include more than 80 countries and has exchanged more than 300,000 students.
IAESTE India LC Manipal, the flagship student exchange program of Manipal University, is a fully supported student run organization by Manipal University and its constituent colleges. It has been instrumental in providing a plethora of opportunities for students to enhance their careers by pursuing technical internships abroad since its inception in 2005. International traineeships have successfully been completed in well-reputed firms like Alstom, ABB, Schlumberger, Robert Bosch, Airbus, etc. Additionally, universities like Purdue University, Carnegie Mellon University, Imperial College-London, etc. have accepted students from IAESTE LC Manipal as trainees through the IAESTE Exchange Program.
